Hutton is involved in an extramarital affair when his wife suddenly dies. Hutton soon marries his lover, Doris Mead, but is then accused of murdering his first wife when the suspicions of Nurse Braddock, who attended the first Mrs. Hutton, lead to the discovery that her death was the result of poisoning. Hutton professes his inno cence and asks Janet Spence, a yF wa I Oj f&a% aiA ■■' /zsr "No\*l SUtCKJ WHAf6 IHC £eim or WK&W • page seven close family friend, to support his claims. For reasons of her own, she refuses to give the desired evidence. Hutton is convicted of his wife's murder and is sentenced to death. The suspense in the drama is derived from the attempts of Hutton's friend, Dr. Libbard, to prove his innocence. The play's moral stand concerns the change taking place in Hutton as he comes to accept his impending death and perhaps the justice of his fate. In the Reveler's Production Tom Abrams will play Henry Hutton, Marcia Suskin will ap pear as Janet Spence, and Liz Allen will portray Doris Mead. Nurse Braddock will be por trayed by Dee Smith and Dr. Libbard will be played by Andrew Milliken. Other cast members include Michelle Adams, Jo Allison Johnson, Dennis Kirschbaum, David Je wett, and David Bradley. Anyone interested in working with the production should watch for notices of and attend the Reveler's meeting which will take place immediately following fall break. There is a particular need for people interested in working with props, but help is also needed with house manage ment and ticket sales, cos tumes, scenery, and publicity -- especially poster design.
