September Is Chosen .\ September wedding is planned, after which the couple will make their home in Charleston, S. C. where I'ilcanor will complete her B. S. degree in history. When Eleanor, “Pook” was asked how she met Jimmy, she said it \\;as very confusing. His oldest sister (Jody) and “Book’s” oldest sister (Anna) were close friends. His youngest sister (Diane) and “Pook” were good friends in high school. But since liumiy was iii college when his family had moved to Peterborough, “Pook” had never really met him. Sisters Made Plans During Christmas of 1949 Jimmy had two weeks for vacation. So all the sisters joined forces and made plans to join “Pook” and liium_v, without consulting either; party. | When “Pook” heard of the con- j spirac.v, she stood her ground.! “He’s too short, old, and T don’t know him.” When Jimmy found out that he was to call “Pook,” he stood- his ground, “She’s too tall, young, and 1 don’t know her.” After being told they w,ere ruin ing friendships, “Pook” and Jimmy finally got together—the date was made. An indifferent boy called for a resigncd-to-the-fact girl, and the evening began. They Enjoyed It “Oh, we had a wonderful time,” said “Pook.” “We went over the mountains to Keene, about twenty miles away, for dinner and a movie. On the way hack over the moun tains, it snowed—as is want in the state of New Hampshire.” After several minutes of slow, driving, they arrived home safely, though late, and both realized they had had a wonderful time. When asked about her ring, “Pook” replied, “I was terribly sur prised. We were by a moonlit lake —a New Hampshire moon, |iot a North Carolina moon—and he just gave it to me. It was three days after his graduation.” I’ll do all the planning and extra work and I really won’t need many new clothes. Hopefull}^ yours. Oh yes, I uess you had better plan on the country club for the reception after all. Si.x hundred have already ex cepted. if Hurriedly, Anne P.S. I bought four more dresses today and a new hat. Very essential ! Dear Mom and Dad, The honeymoon is wonderful ! We are really enjoying lounging on the beach, after all the work of the wedding. You and Daddy ought to relax sometime and get out of the everyday routine. Blissfully, Anne Now all Mom and Dad have to do is pay for the church, flowers, reception, trousseau, and other damage.
