Other items on the agenda for the day included a view from Phyllis Smith, SGA president, a planning and goal assessment session led by Ms. Jane Sparks, resident advisor, and a Judicial Board planning session where various Honor Code changes were discussed. The day’s conferences were concluded by Dr. Galassi as she spoke on the roles the leaders would play in the next nine months. On the final day of the conferences the students had a choice about which lecture they would attend. Speakers at this session included Mr. Lee Grier, Director of the Division of Human Relations, N.C. Department of Public Instruction, Mr. Odell Watson, Assistant Director and Ms. Phyllis Ethridge, Consultant, Division of Human Relations. Also speaking during the conferences were Mr. Larry Williams, campus minister, Ms. Elizabeth Wilson, Counselor, and Ms. Ann Wilson, staff member in the area of Career Services at Meredith. Dr. Galassi explains that the conferences aided the campus leaders by instructing them in ways to handle people and problems they would encounter, and by helping them to plan the paths to take to accomplish their goals. Many of those attending the conferences felt them to be beneficial. The sessions allowed the leaders to meet various people they would be working with throughout the year and served as an ef fective reminder of their responsibilities. Strong points of the conferences included the outside speakers because oi the new ideas they brought. Also, the choice given to the students of which lecture they would attend was g(Md because it avoided repetition for those who had attended previous conferences. pillllllllllllHlllltllllllllllllMItlllllllMlllllllllllltlllllllllllllllllllllliniMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIU I Special Coupon | Offer I $1.50 off on King Pizzas | I $1.00 off on Large Pizzas | I Western Blvd. | I 851-6994 I llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllltlllllWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII>llll»llllllllllllllllllllllll
