Page 4 in love with Pine Knoll Shores. Fil collects stamps, flies remote control model planes, does carpentry, golfs, bowls, plays tennis. Arlene was a bookkeeper and last year earned a degree in Business Administration. _ She enjoys lifting weights, bridge, golf, tennis and bowling. Betty Lee Foulk Lois and Bill Strube moved into 135 Juniper Street about one year ago but have never been written up as "New Neighbors'*. They are from Eatonneck, Long Island, New York. They_ have six married children. Four in the New York area, one in New Jersey and one in New Hampshire. Bill was managing consultant for Synchromatics, a firm in New Jersey. Bill enjoys woodworking and golf. Lois loves to do gardening. She also enjoys quilting and sew ing. She misses her children, but they love it here. Betty Lee Foulk Kenry and Yvette Bannen moved from Massachusetts into their new home at 103 Beechwood Drive last December. Henry had retired from GE and they were looking for a place to"get away from the cold". They have four children, two boys and two girls, one granddaughter. Henry likes all kinds of fishing and has also been spend ing much of his time restoring their house. Yvette is an avid gardener, as witnessed by her beautiful flowers. She is a mem ber of both the PKS Garden Club and the Newcomers Club. Yvette says they have found the perfect climate in PKS. Judy Poit On June 9, Ted and Marilyn Lindblad, and Marilyn's mother settled into their beautiful home on 108 Chestnut Court.Ted retired from Grumman on Long Island the end of last year.Marilyn sold her real estate business in Rockville Centre, LI, NY at the same time. They have two children, one in Connecticut and the other in Virginia, plus a granddaughter, with two more on the way. Ted enjoys bowling and golf and is an avid fisherman. Marilyn and her Mom are busy unpacking and just enjoying the wonderful life in PKS. Judy Poit ANCIENT MARINERS With the temperatures in the '90s, who wants to discuss winter bowling? I do! Our recently elected officers; Blanch Yancey, President; Wally Williams, Vice President; Edna Kent, Treas.; Dot Herbst, Sec. want me to announce that our '93- '94 season will open October 5th at Carteret Lanes. All past or current residents of Pine Knoll Shores are invited to join with us.Any questions will be answered by our secretary at 247-2879. Have a wonderful summer! Fred Korff BOGUE BANKS PUBLIC LIBRARY The library has been busy^jf this summer. We have many new children's books - both for small and older ones. They are on the top shelves of our children sec tion and designated by a big red dot on the spine.The summer read ing program is going well and we have special guests for the story time on Wednesday mornings during the month of July. We also have films each Thursday morning for children thru August 12. For the adults, we have a collection of new books on tape. These are at the front of the library next to the newspapers. These tapes are great for travel, walking or just listening at home and our thanks to the "Friends of the Library" for the purchase of these children's books and adult tapes. The next book sale at the library will be Saturday,August 7 from 1-3 p.m. There are excellent bargains at these sales. We en courage everyone to attend. Ernestine Conwa^^P Librarian
