Welcome New Residents One more New Jersey couple has taken up residence in PKS. Dolores and Tom Martynowski have finally moved into their home at 104 Ash Court, which they purchased three years ago. They have been coming, staying a week or so, and then back to West Portal, NJ, where they lived for forty some years. Dolores was born in Linden, NJ, and Tom in Elizabeth, NJ. Tom is no stranger to this area serving in the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune before being married. Tom was a construction manager and pipe fitter for multiple companies in the New Jersey area. Delores was offered early retirement from New York Life where she was program librarian. She then worked for W.E. Timberman Co., as a secretary, until they left for NC. Son, Tom Jr., is single and lives in Clinton, NJ, where he is a pipe fitter. Daughter Lorraine is married to Ed Plantone. She works for the Edna Mahon Correctional Facility where she teaches travel and tourism to the prisoners who, in turn, handle tourist phone requests for the State of New Jersey. She has two children. Paul is 16 months and Kati is 4 years. Can you believe they live in my hometown, Easton, PA. I was neighbor of the Plantone family? They fell in love with Pine Knoll Shores, when, one year on their way home to new Jersey they stopped at Atlantis Lodge. They took a spin thru PKS and felt all the trees and shrubs looked just like home. This was the place they wanted to be. Dolores enjoys knitting, crocheting and golf. Tom enjoys golf, boating and fishing. Betty Lee Foulk In June, 1995, Joyce and Harry Snow purchased the house formerly owned by Coy Brown at 227 Oakleaf Drive as their weekend-summer getaway. Maybe after full retirement they may decide to make it permanent. They were both born and raised in Wilmington, NC, but after getting married, moved to Rocky Mount, NC. Joyce retired the end of March, having worked at Nash Orthopedic Association in Rocky Mount. Harry was, and still is part-time in the wholesale food business. They have one son and two daughters. Son David and wife ,Debbie, live in Wilmington, NC with their two children, Hilary and Hunter, Daughter Harriet and hubby, Kenny Edgerton, live in Atlanta, GA. They have one son, Tyler. Daughter Susan, and hubby, D.R. Bryan, have two children, Emily and Paul. They live in Holly Springs, NC, but they have bought a summer-future retirement home at 194 Oakleaf Drive. Joyce and Harry were helping the Bryans move, when they met Coy and bought his house. Joyce loves to play bridge and absolutely enjoys her five grandchildren. Harry enjoys yard work and they enjoy dancing. In 1963 and 1964 they lived on Evans Street in Morehead City while Harry managed the Colonial Food Store that was where Heilig Myers Furniture store is now, on Arendell Street. They have the most beautiful four-year old white and honey-colored cocker spaniel named Buffy. Let me tell you, Buffy is the most gentle cocker I've met in a long time, and has the longest, gorgeous eyelashes I've ever seen on a dog. They've got to be at least two inches long, which makes her look bashful all the time. Make them welcome so they decide to make our community their full-time home. Betty Lee Foulk 5
