It is written that "you never can come home again", but Arizona couple Betty and Bob Katzenson did just that and enjoyed their visit to their former home in Pine Knoll Shores. The couple decided, after 10 years of Southwestern living, to visit friends and family in the east. Betty and Bob decided that driving from their residence in Tucson, Arizona to the East coast was just too much. So they opted for a flight that took them to Ft Lauderdale, Florida to visit with a friend that was a bridesmaid at their wedding fifty-five years ago. While in Florida they renewed friendships with a cousin who also lives in Florida. From there they rented a car and toured up the Coast stopping at Raleigh to visit a former resident of Pine Knoll Shores and friend Gen Wiseman. Their next stop was Pine Knoll Shores, where they visited old friends Pat and Bob Ruggiero. During their stopover in Pine Knoll Shores, Betty, who served as president of the Women's Club during 1992 - 1993, was able to participate in the .celebration of the club's 25 year anniversary recognizing' the past presidents of the club. The couple than left to complete their journey to see relatives in the New York area, and returned to Arizona from Mac Arthur airport in Long Island. * ' * X- * Martha Edwards is in charge of the Woman's Club of Pine Knoll Shores' float at the upcoming Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5.
