Identification of Blanket Rol Proper identification of rolls of blankets through all inspecting and fin ishing processes is important in the con trol of quality. In most cases, defects are discovered during inspection at the Blanket Mill and corrective action is taken immediately. However, certain types of defects can not be seen until after the blanket has been finished at the Finishing Mill in Spray. Therefore, it is necessary for each roll of blankets to be identified in order for quality follow-up work to be done when such defects are observed. Each roll of blankets that leaves the Blanket MiU has a ticket attached show ing the roll number, loom number, date, style, inspector’s number and the yards and pounds in the roll. This information also is kept on record in the Blanket Inspection Department. Since the ticket sometimes becomes lost in handling and processing, the Blanket Mill also puts a roll number on the end of the roll. This number agrees with the roll number shown on the loom ticket. On dry-finish - ^ roll number is put on with ® ^ pen and remains legible dun B ing. . j.. On piece-dyed blankets, ent matter.
