Magazine Editor Sees
Fieldcrest Operations
Miss Florence Byerly, home furnish
ings editor of Better Homes and
Gardens, the leading magazine in the
home furnishings field, was a recent
visitor at our mills.
She was greatly impressed with our
ttiill operations and the leadership that
J'ieldcrest has taken in producing
quality and fashion products in this
industry. Our Research and Quality
Control Department was of particular
interest to her, as wearing qualities
?nd fine workmanship are equally as
important as styling to her more than
4,000,000 readers.
Miss Byerly is one of the country’s
foremost reporters on decorating trends,
and twice she has won the Dorothy
Dawe award for her outstanding edi
torial accomplishments.
Her background of experience prior
*■0 joining Better Homes and Gardens
®ight years ago has run the gamut
writing sales checks, training
salespeople, coordinating buying pro-
STams, to decorating model homes for
Several fine mid-western stores. All of
'■his has given her an amazing amount
of insight into the interests of her read
ers.
We were delighted with the oppor
tunity of having Miss Byerly visit the
niills and meet more of our Fieldcrest
People.
