Four members of the Martin family are active in the Scout program. Clar ence is a scoutmaster; his wife is a den mother; Charles, the oldest son, is a Boy Scout; and Dennis, the next oldest, is a Cub Scout. The youngest member of the family, foxir-year-old Glenn, is yet too young. Under the current program of nation al purpose, “Strengthen America . . . Character Counts,” the nation’s 5,235,- COO Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Explorers and adult leaders will observe the 52nrt anniversary of the Boy Scouts of Amer ica. Locally, the 504 Scouts of Dan River District, Cherokee Council, will share in the observance. Emphasis will be placed on the family’s contribution to Scouting and the American way of life.
