Weavers Set Quality Records ifi ^•#1 bUNKET mill quality champions Weavers with outstanding records of quality work, left to right, are Kate Fuller, Sallie Isley, Otra Chilton, Lessie Chilton, James Vernon and Dillard Harris. Tlie Blanket Mill weavers shown above have established outstanding rec ords of quality work. Four have over three years on the quality honor list and two have over two years. Lessie Chilton, Otra Chilton, Dillard Harris and Sallie Isley, plain or dobby weavers, have records of over three years. Kate Fuller, plain weaver, and James Vernon, jacquard weaver, have records of over two years. The quality honor list, posted in the weave room each month, shows the names of weavers who have worked six months or longer without a major qual ity defect in their cloth. Agricultural Workers Visit Karastan Agricultural Extension Service work ers in Rockingham County were recent visitors at the Karastan Rug Mill. The group was headed by Horace J. Hux, county agricultural agent, and was com posed of agriculture and home eco nomics teachers in the county schools and personnel from the office of the county agricultural agent. After seeing the displays in the show room and visiting the Designing De partment they were conducted on a tour of the plant to see steps in the manu facture of Karastan rugs and carpets. They are shown in the showroom prior to their tour of the manufacturing departments. Mr. Hux is second from right on the front row. At extreme right, front row, is J. M. Norman, mana ger of the Karastan Mill. Jesse McKin ney, guide for the tour, is shown at ex treme right on back row.
