SutUff. , THE MimWHJSTF The Hobby and Garden show, spon sored by the Y.M.C.A. Golden Age Club at Consolidated Central Y.M.C.A., re cently, was described by the club offi cers as the best show to date. The club sponsors the event each year to en courage persons of retirement age to develop their own hobbies. All members of the club and all of their friends of retirement age were invited to enter exhibits showing their hobbies and the general public was in vited to see the displays. Members of the Golden Age Club enjoyed a sup per at the Y.M.C.A. following the show. Some of those who entered exhibits and the items they showed were as fol lows: Frank Shearon, hand made table; Mrs. Frank Shearon, hand made arti cles including four rugs, three aprons and a pair of bedroom shoes, towel and bath cloth, hand made quilt, slated bonnett; W. B. Weaver and T. P. Shinn, fishing trip pictures; Mrs. A. E. Fair, dried flower arrangements; Mrs. M. H. Hanes, two beautiful flower arrange ments; Mrs. Emma Darlington, hand made quilt of neckties; Mrs. A. D. Weaver, white hand made crocheted bedspread. Also Mrs. Ada Jones, artificial flower arrangement; Mrs. W. A. Cox, canned goods; C. S. Sheckells, cookie jar brought from Germany; Mrs. Ira Li- taker, hand made pillowcases and a flower arrangement; Samuel Martin potato pumpkin; Mrs. Esther Burroughs' hand made crocheted hat.
