Industrial ‘'Management Class Tour Plant The Karastan Spinning Division of l^reenville was host recently to mem- ^rs of an industrial management class fom East Carolina College. The group 29 young men was accompanied by Alice M. Harrison, associate pro- lessor. Before touring the mill, the group as- j®^bled in the conference room where ■ M. Moore, plant superintendent, made brief talk. He described the over-all Perations of the company and told of the Contribution of the Greenville plant terms of jobs, payrolls, local taxes etc. While being conducted on tours of the j the visitotrs were particularly in- ^rested in new machinery and new (.,®^h.ods. They observed with interest ® new traversing creel for woolen a new Duesberg-Bosson spin- frame and a new Meadows large ^kage twister. Greenville supervisors who served as Ides for the mill tours were Luby in foreman of twisting and reel- , Phil Chambley, foreman of quali- in and A1 Peel, foreman of dye- ^ and blending. Miley, Jr. Father (Bill) is a loomfixer at the Karastan Mill. OND Laura Belinda Hall Laura Belinda Hall was four months old when the picture was made. She is daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis E. Hall, Jr. Fa- ther is employed in »^ the Napping Depart- ment at the Finish ing Mill.
