Of the 102 pints of blood donated when the Bloodmobile 'Visited the Spray Methodist Church Tuesday, March 2, 74 pints ^ere given by Fieldcresters. The Finishing Mill, with 32, fur- ■^ished the largest number of donors of any Fieldcrest unit. Employees from the following plants and offices gave blood: Central Warehouse, Karastan Mill, Sheeting Mill, Specials De partment, Sheet Finishing Mill, Bedspread Finishing Mill, pianket Mill, Spray Standards Department, Bleachery, Finish- Mill and General Offices. J- Scott Chowning, of the Sheet Finishing Mill, and Russell ^tewart, of the Blanket Mill, became eligible for the “Gallon Club”, There were 22 first-time donors and 39 persons gave “lood as replacements for blood received by friends or rela- «ves. Norman Young, co-chairman of the Tri-City Blood Program, he was pleased with the results of the visit although the '^Uota of 175 pints was not obtained. He said that a large ^Hiount of sickness in the community made it impossible for ®'^me persons to give blood and that the inclement weather also ®Pt some donors at home. Mildred Dodson and Margarette Trent, of the Blaiiket Cut- and Sewing Department at the Finishing Mill, served as '^'^lunteer workers at the Bloodmobile.
