New Asst. Foremen DAN JAMES Phillip J. Osborne was promoted from management trainee to assistant fore man in the Cutting and Sewing Depart ment at the Blanket Finishing Mill ef fective November 17. A native of High Point, Mr. Osborne received his B. S. degree in business ad ministration in June, 1969. He joined Fieldcrest immediately after his gradu ation and worked on various training assignments at the Blanket Finishing Mill in preparation for a supervisory as signment. Bedspread Mill Appointments Announced Drewry W. Carter, a supervisory trainee, was appointed an assistant fore man- in the Karastan Weave Room ef fective November 1. Mr. Carter joined Fieldcrest as weav- er-in-training at the Karastan Mill in 1967. He later was a fixer-in-training and worked as a loom fixer-temporary. He entered the supervisory training program in June of 1969. He is a native of Henry County, Va., and a graduate of Drewry Mason High School at Ridgeway, Va. He served in the Navy from May, 1963, until April, 1967, and was a jet mechanic. 8 In new supervisory appointments at the Bedspread Mill, Autry L. Moore was named foreman of the Weave Room effective November 17 and F. Daniel James, Jr., was employed as section foreman in the Slashing Department ef fective November 10. Mr. Moore was supervisor of super visory training immediately prior to his new assignment and earlier was training supervisor-weaving. He had been em ployed in the Fieldcrest Training De partment since March, 1968. He attended Atlantic Christian Col lege and Rollins College and received his B. S. degree in textiles from Florida State College.
