Home Economics Students See Two Finishing Mills
A group of 18 clothing and textile
majors and graduate students in the
School of Home Economics at the Uni
versity of North Carolina at Greensboro
toured the Bedspread Finishing Mill
and the Sheet Finishing Mill recently
as a field trip in connection with their
studies.
Dr. Pauline Keeney, professor of
home economics, arranged for the tour
and accompanied the students on their
visit to Fieldcrest. Also accompanying
them was Dr. Eileen Francis, assist
ant professor of home economics.
Preceding the tours, the visitors as
sembled and heard talks by K. M-
Vaughn, plant manager. Bedspread Fin
ishing, and K. W. Foddrell, plant man
ager, Sheet Finishing, who described
the respective operations and told what
the visitors could expect to see during
their tours.
