Katie Putnam played here again last Mon
day night to a crowded house. Slie appeared
in the society play ofFanchon, and acquitted
lierself in her usually happy style. Tiie play
itself is rather weak in some parts and but for
tliesupcrior forceof Aliss Putnam and her sup
ports would liave proven very tame; though
as a whole, it carries witli it a beautit'iil moral
lesson that, perhaps, macy of that audience,
will not soon forget. As an artist Miss Katie
is a grand success.
