Billy, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Waters is sick at his home on Henry Street. The teachers of the Primary de partment of Rosemary Baptist Sun day School gave a party last Friday evening at the home of Mrs. P. W. Ray, who is superintendent of this d ► partment, honoring one of their fel low teachers, Miss Jessie Davis. Miss Davis was presented with gifts from her friends and the teachers present were Mrs. B. 0. Cooper, Miss Audrey Cook, Mrs. William Pulley, Mfs. Carl Simmons, Miss Sara Med lin, Miss Annie Mae Pridgen, Miss Edith Davis, Mrs. R. L. Bryant and Miss Jessie Davis. Miss Davis en tered the Roanoke Rapids hospital as student nurse Feb. 1 and will be greatly missed by her friends in the community and church where she has so faithfully and efficiently render ed her service*.
