John Fisher spent the week-end with relatives in E li tt City, Md. Paul King has arrived in Hawaii after a month enroute from New York to Honolulu. Mr. King says there is an abundance of tropical fruits and flowers at this season of the year, lots of rain, and the tem perature never goes over 85 degrees the year round. Poplar Grove No. G3, Woodmen Circle, and Elite Junior Circle No. 10, were entertained at the home of Mrs. Ada V. Jones on Jackson St., last Friday evening, April 3rd. Games were played and prizes were awarded the winners. After the games and contests, refreshments consitsing of ice cream, cake and punch were served to twenty nine members who had spent a pleasant evening. Miss Josie Alma Chase entertain ed a few friends at her home last Tuesday night a week. It was a dance and the ones present were Hil da Hines, Essie Wayne Matkins, Ju lia Crutchfield, Ella Giles, Elizabeth Wilson, Virginia Bell Vincent, Cyrus Kitchin, Jimmie Shell, Snooks Mat thews, James Womble, Wilton Dick ens, Butler Brown, Everyone had a pleasant time.
