Dancing and games were enjoy ed. Assisting in serving refresh ments were Frances Hoffier, Lil lian Howell, Vivian Reives, Carol Wood and Thomas Wallace. Out of town guest was Mr. John Ray Browning, of Littleton. Enfield W. M. S. On Monday afternoon the Bap tist Woman’s Missionary Society met at the church with seventeen members present. The president, Mrs. Frank Branch, presided. The scripture lesson, taken from the twelfth chapter of Luke, was read by Mrs. B. R. Kimball, followed with prayer by her. The business was next dispatched. The topic of the afternoon's program was “Signs of Kingdom Progress.” Cir cle No. 2, with Mrs. T. T. Hales in charge, put on the program. Mrs. Hales’ subject was “Watchman, What of the Night?” “The Influ ence of Christian Ideals” was dis cussed by Mrs. Claude Kimball. Other subjects were “The Develop ment of Native Leadership” by Mrs. T. B. Gunter, and “Missions JOHNNY REVOLTA, P.G.A. Champion. Party In Enfield Mrs. Robert Whitaker entertain ed members of the Thursday Bridge Club, and additional guests, at a party Thursday morning. Mrs. Buck White scored high in the game and was awarded a pair of hose. Miss Elva Norton, of Lau rinburg, was presented a guest prize. At the noon hour Mrs. Whitaker served her guests a two course luncheon. Those present were: Mrs. Buck White, Miss Elva Norton, Miss An nie Mae Sherrod, Mrs. J. B. Britt, Mrs. Frank Sherrod, Mrs. Joe Pope, Mrs. Katie Harrison, Mrs. D. M.
