Some six members of the Board were present in addition to the presi dent, Win. Alfred Thorne. After a lengthy discussion of sev eral different plans it was decided to again go before the entire mem bership of the Association with the proposal of what type of drive would be conducted here this fall, or as to whether a concerted drive, underwritten by the association, should be attempted at all. This meeting will be held in the lunch room of the Junior High School building, and will be in the form of a “dinner meeting.” Barbecue and Brunswick Stew will be served, with the meeting starting promptly at seven o’clock. As it is apparent there is a great deal of diversified opinion as to the relative merits of a trades-days campaign, the issue is an important one. As several meetings have been held without any material head way made, and the time draws close to the deadline if a campaign is to be staged, it is important that every member of the Merchants Association attend next Tuesday night’s meeting.
