C. i ROMANCOS MEET NAVY OUTFIT AND ROBBIES FRIDAY AND SATURDAY .^Romancos, after a week's layoff lue to the Lions Club Festival, will igain take up their schedule on Friday night when they meet the :rack U.S.S. Hanger outfit from Norfolk, Va. The Rangers are the team that nade such a hit with Softball fans vhen they played here a few weeks igo, losing a hard fought game to he Romancos 2-0 when Murray itacia smashed a long homer to ight field in the seventh Inning /ith Chet Allsbrook on base to win he game. Up to the seventh not . hit had been gathered off the de ivery of Ken Eggstleton, the Navy urler. Allsbrook, the first man ρ in the seventh, hit a double own the leftfield line and then ame Stacia's long drive to win the ame. In the second game the Lomancos won over the Rangers 3-0 but it was one of the funniest ffairs ever pulled; for the Navy oys unloosed three or four of the inniest comedians ever seen on a aftball diamond to keep the crowd ι an uproar the entire contest. Game time will be 8 p.m. MEET SWANSON AGAIN Ralph Swanson, Virginia's ace windmiller who has not tasted de feat but once this season and that at the hands of the Romancos 1-0 here a week ago, will be back with his Robbies Barbecue Softball team Saturday night for a double-header. In the first game last Saturday night Swanson tied the Romancos in a dozen knots as he pitched his eighth no-hit, no-run game of the season. Swink Lee lost his fourth game of the season. In the night cap Russ DeBerry tied up with Swanson in a pitchers' duel and won his game 1-0, when Swink Lee's mighty smash to leftfield off Swanson scored Allsbrook from third. The double-header Saturday night will probably be just as thrilling as the last double-header. The Romancos will be going after two victories over Ralph Swanson. He is the same gentleman who stopped their winning streak. Mrs. Randolph Teele visited Mrs. Rufus Hux Tuesday evening. ;©ive-aw4>7 If34 Plymouth Four-Boor Sedan BROKEN IN: FORD 4-DOOR nt Mechanical Shape PICK THE BEST CAR YOU EVER OWNED FROM THESE SPECIALLY PRICED QUALITY BUYS! look; '37 FORD TUDOR Runs and Looks Good I HERE'S A FINE CAR! λ93Β PLYMOUTH TWO-DOOR SEDAN ^'T MISS '36 Chevrolet DeLuxe 2-Door Sedan ·;'■ ■ 'r *../ς— V -s :-V^ .
