FOTOFAX JANUARY, 1979 An Editorial A Twice Told Tale Most people who read stories such as Phil Holden's account of his accident react positively; sometimes, though, the most reasonable person can miss a point. We've all heard about seat belts, and it's only human to grow weary of good advice which comes too often and with out being requested. We have to be sure our reactions don't interfere with our judgment. So far as is known, none of the Kangaroo Club members either sell or install seat belts. No one pays them to say the things they keep telling us in these unsolicited testimonials. Most of us have seen the "Convin- cer," either in front of the plant last summer or at the picnic. Looking at it was enough for many of us who watched someone else come to that crunching halt from a leisurely five miles per hour. The Kangaroo Clubbers are saying the same sort of thing: they would rather not have taken the ride, but they're all glad their seat belt was fastened when it happened. Some of us have been reacting against good advice ever since Mom started telling us to brush our teeth. Now, as then, failing to heed the message will hurt us more than it hurts anyone else. —Hale Tom Walker Dies G. T. Walker of maintenance services died December 18 at the age of 64.
