Devotional Thoughts ”As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord’. Joshua 24:15. Many people live as though the purpose of life is to get all they can from everybody any ivay they can. There are many many depraved souls who never stop and try to think of a reason for their existence. Some people live for money, some sell their souls for a few moments of })leasure. Some resort to crime of unlimited dimensions to satis fy their earthly lusts and desires. None of these serve life’s jiurpose. God is not slack concerning His promises and he has promised prosperity and peace to all who will come to Him and abide in Him, Our first purpose, then, in life is the service of God. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”, declares the con victions of the soul. One ^sho makes such declarations and abides by it will certainly please God and will be used of Him to bless the lives of great num- liers. The service of God offers to make of us channels of bless ings and instruments through iHiich God can bless the world. God would have all people seek the kingdom of heaven. Seekers of the kingdom of heaven will give of their time in Christian service. They will do what they can to relieve human suffering with every opportunity. In these busy days, time is a very im portant factor in serving Christ. Satan has hid for your time and he is determined to get as much of it as he can. Let us seek the kingdom of God by using our time to serve God through the channel of Christian brotherhood and service. Reverend R. P.
