Thev are now' playing on WNCT-TV in Greenville, N. C. Many of you have probably oeen enjoying their shows on Thursday nights from 7:15-7:30 and Saturday ' nights from 6:30- 7:00. T lieir career began about five years ago wdien they started play- J^J§_on the radio and they have climlied a little higher each year. Jean, wdio is now only fifteen is w'idely known throughout North Carolina for her own piano styling of Boogie and ragtime. Rudolph, w'ho is now nineteen, plays the guitar, mandolin, and bass fiddle, but spends the ma jority of his free time singing and playing his guitar. Office News Weekend In Southern Pines Richard Sweetman spent a re cent w'eekend in Southern Pines visiting friends. New Employee Mrs. Margaret Corinth has be gun w'orking in the payroll de partment. Margaret was previous ly employed at the Wilson division before her marriage to Joe Cor inth of the chemical laboratorv. A Typical Day In The Shipping Department While observing a day’s activi ties in the shipping department at Caromount w'e find that the friendly personnel and pleasant atmosphere make it an interesting and desirable place to work. Each morning, to start the ball rolling. Miss Ma rie Herbert, our faithful teletype operator, receives orders from our New York Office. I After the orders are received she passes copies to Mrs. Jo Best, who determines wffiether or not the material is in stock, giving Mrs. Dorothy Sutton piece tickets and location tags for orders to be shipped. Norman Williams then receives orders, piece tickets and location tags and pulls the material out of the warehouse to be shipped, with the help of Earl Hackney and Lacy Williams. Engineering Secretary Miss Lib King is the new' sec retary in the Engineering Depart ment, replacing Mrs. Deans Cree who has gone to Germany to join her husband. Christmas In Connecticut Fred Stolzenberg spent the Christmas holidays in Connecti cut. Mrs. Stolzenberg expects to join her husband here in late January, wffien they ^vill move in to their new' home at 234 Clifton Road, Englew'ood. The records are then returned to the office where Mrs. Chris Lewis calculates the invoices, us ing prices furnished by our New York office, and turns them over to Mrs. Audrey Sow'ers who does the billing to the customers. Bills of lading are prepared simultaneously with the invoices by Mrs. Sow'er Miss Julia Jor dan, w'ho types descriptions ami weights of terial on bills. These bills of lading given to driver of I truck to as soon as his truck is loaded with material. Persons responsible for the shipment of framed goods are Morris Williams. Jesse Adams and Jimmy Jenkins. ma- t h e are the each sign Boxed materials are taken care of by Charlie Warren and export goods, packed ready for shipment, are handled by Oliver Parker and Cleveland Walker. Short lengths are prepared for shipment by Julian Whitehurst, assistant to our department man ager, John Sterken, and material to be cut is handled by' Mrs. Ma rie Weaver and James Tharring- ton. and are given to Our second shift, who puts ma terial in the bins after it has been properly wrapped and tagged con sists of Richard Batchelor, Gar land Joyner, and Paul Joyner. Performing the same tasks on the 3rd shift are Edward Ray Davis, Selljv Smith and Cvrus Denton.
