Two Anxious Girls Dear Anxious Girls: Maybe they were over "scouting" — for the game that is . football roundup Smithfield Rolls Over La Grange 26-6 The Red Devils rolled up 340 yds, rushing in winning their sixth game of the season from La Grange, Smithfield held La Grange to three yds, rushing, Hoyle, Stallings, Taylor, and George played well defensively, while the offensive show was led by Ennis, Everett, and Starling, Red Devils Bow to Wallace VJallace obtained the conference lead by rolling over Smithfield 30-6, Wallace controlled the game except for Smithfield's one touchdown in tne last quarter by Jack Broadhurst, Ennis and Reed's passing attack was responsible for most of Smithfield's yardage with Mike Starling gaining the rest by rushing. Smithfield Crushes Richlands 32-0 The Red Devils recovered from the Vfellace tilt by defeating Richlands in their seventh win, Hoyle, Daughtry, and Stallings were outstanding defensive ly with Ennis, Reed, Langdon, and Star ling starring on defense, Smithfield Loses to Selma 7-6 Smithfield lost their annual game with the Selma Yellow Jackets for the fifth straight year in a thrilling 7-6 tilt. The game was won for Selma by Dobby Creech who kicked the extra point, Mike Starling was responsible for Snith- field's touchdown run, Ennis, Starling, and Taylor starred offensively for the Red Devils, The Smithfield student body is grateful to Coaches Brown and Bain and to the entire Red Devil team for the most successful season we have enjoyed in years.
