Fall Poem Editor’s Note: If the last windy rain didn’t bring all your leaves down, we thought you 'd appreciate this little poem. To A Fall Leaf by Maurice E. Beckett of Tryon, NC Come, little leaf and join your friends, The season now on you depends; The robin sang his song and fled. The flowers have bloomed, the garden’s dead. No longer are you green and bright And gleaming in the summer’s light, But now you’re wrinkled, tom and brown, Time, I think, to come on down. Still you cling to yon tall tree, A tiny flag for all to see, A final taunt to those now gone Who he upon my grassy lawn. Come join them, now, if for my sake, For I’ve not much more time to rake! Opening the show will be another North Carolina based band, Nu Blu. For information call Faye Perry at 704-871-8353. Perry’s Bluegrass Bam is located on Sharon School Road.
