Nomads Nobody knows where you live— according to the Post Office. We are getting an enormous number of “Return to Sender” copies which cost us—and you—ten cents each. Its possible that you built a new home, and forgot to tell us about your new address—or you moved to a bigger and better job, and for got to tell your lodge secretary, and he forgot to tell our printing department at Oxford about it. We’d love to hear from you! Si. Johns' Day To Be Observed In 1967 the several Masonic lodges in the Raleigh area, under the guiding hand of Worshipful Brother A. C. (Jack) Honeycutt, Master, Hiram Lodge No. 40, re vived what then appeared to be an almost lost cause, and had more than a decent turnout and observ ance by Masons in this area, in cluding attendance at several churches. When M.'.W.'.Brother Robert N. Bass, Jr., announced his four point program shortly after his installa tion at the 181st Communication of the Grand Lodge in Raleigh in Ap ril, the observance of St. John’s Day was one of the four points. It was only natural that W.'.Brother Jack Honeycutt, newly appointed District Deputy Grand Master for the newly created 24th Masonic District, should immediately have conferences with W.'.Brother J. Frank Maddry, D.D.G.M., 25th Dis trict, and W.'.Brother Harry Lee Holland, D.D.G.M., of the 26th District, to carry on this idea. Masters and Wardens of the three districts met with the three District Deputies, and all heartily agreed that it could be worked out without difficulty, although it would mean some hard work by a few who would pilot the program. The planned celebration will be held in the Masonic Temple, Ral eigh, on Saturday June 22nd. Wil liam T. Bain Lodge No. 231 has agreed to cater the feast ($1.85 per plate, with children under 14 for $1.00), to be served on the lawn, if weather permits, otherwise, the Temple dining room will be used. Dinner reservations are request ed by June 10th, with deadline June 15th. Fiesta-time 5:45 P.M., to 7:15 P.M., for any and all Master Masons, their families, and invited guests. The entire program is planned for the family rather than for members only. The program will start in the Auditorium at 7:30 P.M., with a musical selection; a short talk by W.'.Brother E. P. Stiles, Master of Apex Lodge No. 584, on the rela tionship between the two Saints John and Masonry, and the connec tion with the church; the purpose (Continued on Page Two)
