/' . ; Honor Roll of the B. T. P. U. Bible Readers. ... We are pleased to publish the names of those who have kept up the Bible readings in the B. Y. P. U. Quarterly for the first quarter of this year. They are as follows: Edith Jones, Eure Mae Daniels, Sallie Belle Daniels, Ruby Jones, Elsie Jenkins, Mrs. E. R. Stewart. Our aim for this quarter is to read them daily. This paper is two years old. With the May issue we begin the third year of its publication. It has a circulation this month of 500 and is still growing, ' The only paper published in Hyd Sip ;7':3r We wish to thank those who make the pub lication of this paper possible. Remember, if you have something good for the people of Hyde County send it in and let us publish it. Advertise your “For Sales” and “Wants” in your county paper. Many people this day and time do their shopping through the columns of the papers. If you have a criticism tell it to your editor. The Southern Baptist Convention will be held at Louisville, Kentucky, on May 4, 1927, for sev eral days. This is headquarters for Southern Baptists as perhaps the greatest Seminary and Training School of the world is located here. Just as chick ens like to go home to roost just so do men who have received their theological training long to go back. The new Seminary, on the new site, will draw scores of Baptist preachers to Louisville on May 4th for a few days. Your pastor plans to go. FAIRFIELD BOOK NIGHT A SUCCESS. It was on April 1st that a new stunt was pulled off in the Fairfield Auditorium. A pro gram was given. It was well attended. Professor A. H. McClung made a talk on “The Sacredness of a Book.” The writer made some remarks on the sub ject—“Living in the Realm of the Dead.” Several recitations, a piano duet and some songs constituted the program. There were 33 volumes donated to the Fair field Library. Collection of $1.10 was given. We hope to install , the books we now have and open the library. Shortly after the close of school. We want you to use these books but not abuse them.
