ESI m FAIRFIELD BAPTIST TO HAVE A NEW CHURCH HOME. The pastor of the Hyde County Baptist Mis sion field is now facing the task of constructing a church house in Fairfield. A car load of bricks have been placed on the lot. As soon as the lum ber can be cut we hope to see the buildings going up. We feel that there are many friends to the Baptist cause in Hyde County. Now with a bountiful crop of corn, beans and cotton we be lieve that every man and woman in the county will be able to help us some—WE MUST HAVE SOME LIBERAL GIVERS. There are some who ought to give $100.00 or more; some $50.00; some $25.00 ;j many $20.00; many $10.00, and yet many more $5.00 each. Rev. J. M. Page has been selected as Building Evangelist and we hope that he can be with us for a week the last of September. Don’t fail to hear him when he comes. Remember “THAT FILTHY LUCRE’’ is not yours. God has made you trustee of it. The best investment you can make of it is in God’s king dom work. “Give and it shall be given unto you.” CHOWAN BAPTIST ASSOCIATION. Eastern North Carolina Baptists gathered at Eureka Baptist Church on Sept. 20th, .21st and 22nd. Most of the churches were represented. Splendid reports were made of the various phases of the work. Southern Baptists are car rying on. There are sixty-five or more churches in Chowan Association. ---'LL-o-i The North Carolina Baptist State Convention will be held in Winston-Salem on Nov. 14th. This volunteer spirit was fine and shows a good spirit of cooperation on the part of the people to do a thing if they yrant to—12,000 bricks were moved 7 miles froih 2 p. m., August 23rd, to 12 a. m., August 24th. tr ’ We appreciated tnore than we can express here the volunteer service of hauling pn&or more lohds.
