Children’s Day will be observed in our Sun day Schools at Swan Quarter and Rose Bay on the fourth Sunday in June. |j Don’t miss attending these services. This is the month for Children’s Day services in all churches. S As we delight in listening to the children as they speak to us in song and the words of the poet, may we have a vision of their God-given rights. We want our children to be obedient to us as their parents, but let us not forget that their future depends very largely on the training and help we give them in their young days. Let us not forget to give them the best to make them strong physically, n_ sntally, socially and spiritually. The last (spiritually) is of course the most important. We all ought to readily see the fact that to take care of our chil dren spiritually we must give them the proper training physically, mentally and socially. Re ligion is a matter concerned with the body, soul and spirit. Our children can only be their best spiritually when they have strong bodies, well trained minds and with pleasing personalities. Let your pastor ask you this important ques tion: What are you doing for your children? The child in our midst is the most important possession. More important than the furniture in your home, the money you possess or any other thing. Many people fail to realize this and fail to give their children the proper care and in after years wonder why their children do not do better in life. Give your children the proper care and you will live your life over again in them and they will call you blessed. Fail to give your children the care they need and in sorrow you will come to your grave. May God add his bless ing to this message. * % ittN M i n. A GREAT REVIVAL We rejoice with Rev. E. L. Bar ber, of Lansing, Mich., told the Annual Conven tion of the American Association for Medico physical Research. “A baby born of a cigarette-smoking mother is sick,” he declared. “It is poisoned and may die within two weeks of birth. The post mortem shows degeneration of the liver, heart and other organs.” Editorial Comment:—Some folks are gradu ally committing suicide. Smoking is neither wholesome nor sanitary. Every cigarette smoked is a tack driven in the coffin. “Abstain from all appearances of evil.” ■o FAIRFIELD SCHOOL LOOKING FORWARD TO BECOMING A STANDARD SCHOOL Fairfield High School expects to add on a commercial department of her curriculum next year, giving High School graduates and under High School graduates the privilege of specializ ing in courses on Bookkeeping, Shorthand and Typewriting. To this new course we hope to see many avail themselves of the opportunity and. specialize in this course at home. We have the assurance of sufficient financial support to take care of the situation.—Prof. J. W, Heath.
