Mrs. J. C. Trotter was in Van couver, Canada recently as a dele gate to the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Convention from this area. Mr. Chuck Eppes is a patient at Wake Forest Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Toney and family spent a few days last week at Carolina Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Caudle of Wake Forest spent July 3 with Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Murphy of Sel ma. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Murphy are spending this week at More- head City. Mayor and Mrs. Paul Brixhoff had as their guests last week her sister and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Graham, Paula and Dru, of Jacksonville, Fla. With them was Dru’s fiance, Chailes Glisson. The group spent several days at Kerr Lake. Mrs. Beatrice Powers, Mrs. 0. B. Smith of Durham, and Phyllis Pleasants of Raleigh have return ed from western North Carolina. While there they visited Brenda Pleasants at Western Carolina Col lege, and attended “Unto These Hills” at Cherokee. Mrs. Smith’s son. Bill Smith, plays the part of Will Thomas in the drama. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brown and son visited her parents. Dr. and Mrs. J. R. Saunders, in Richmond, Va.. over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Miss Lee Brown Kitchin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman D. Kitchin Jr. of Wake Forest, will make her debut at the 1907 Debu tante Ball in September. Lee Brown, a student at Peace College, has chosen her father as her chief marshal. Other marshals are Stedman Kitchin, her cousin of Scotland Neck, and John Schweers of Madison, Wisconsin. Before the round of deb parties get too busy for Lee Brown, she plans to visit her brother and family, the “’T” Kitchins in Florida, and vacation at Nags Head. Boal was at home this past weekend on leave from Navy Supply School at Athens, Ga. On Sunday Don and Mrs. R. S. Boal and Miss Peggy Hollings worth drove to Greensboro where they picked up Miss Betty Boal and went on to Salisbury. At Ca tawba College, Helen Boal joined the group for a picnic at Salisbury City Park. Don then left for Athens, and Mrs. Boal and Miss Hollingsworth drove back to Wake Forest. L. Perry. Refreshments carried out the colors of white, yeliow and green. Mrs. Mills was assisted by Mrs. John Parish. Mrs. Ben Aycock, Mrs. George Mackie, Sr., Mrs. T. D. Kitchin, Jr. and Miss Lee Brown Kitchin. Miss Herrin was presented a white corsage and a gift of china in her chosen pattern by the host ess. Guests came between 10:30 and 12:30.
