They car ried semi-cascade bouquets of painted daisies. Miss Teresa Anne Baker and Charles Pettigrew Baker were child attendants. Mr. Pharr was his son’s best man. Ushers were Ronald Young Ward, Harold William Marvin HI, Stewart Craig Mclnnis and Daniel York Pharr, brother of the bride groom. The bride attended Chowan Ju nior College. The bridegroom is a graduate of . UNC-Chapel Ltll, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Following the ceremony a recep tion was held at the Wake Forest Community House. The bride’s ta ble was beautifully decorated with a white satin cloth and net over lay. The net was brought up at each corner with lace ribbon, val ley lilies and bridal ivy. The cen ter piece was made of white roses, glads, mums and valley lilies. Lime ice punch, bridal cakes, nuts and mints were served. Mr. and Mrs. Nurney Bond greeted guests; Mrs. Harry Lord presided at the guest register; Mrs. A. C. Reid, Miss Lou Wil liams, and Mrs. Fred Blackley- poured punch; and Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Shoemaker who were at Tabernacle Baptist Church for many years, are now serving at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church in Charlotte. Richard went to visit Pritchard one Sunday morning to see both Mr. Shoemak er and Dr. Potter. Nannette Minor was playing the organ there and | that is where Richard and Nan nette met. They dated a couple of times be fore Nannette went to the Miss North Carolina Pageant. After she won the crown, they kept a rather irregular dating schedule. But, one month ago, she gave up her crown and now they are able to announce their engagement. They will be married at Pritch ard Memorial Baptist Church in Charlotte on September 2 by Dr. James L. C., hurs., July 13, 1967, Page 5 Young-sville Boy Scouts Return From Week’s Camp Troop 588 of Youngsville attend ed a week of summer camp at Camp Reeves last week. Camp Reeves is part of the new Scout reservation near Carthage. The boys slept on ground beds and did their own cooking. They earned many merit badges. On Wednesday the parents went and carried a picnic supper. They attended the campfire after sup per. j Boys camping were Rodney Rob erts, Jimmy Moss, Glenn Evans, I Ricky Reddick, Billy Moss, Phil Wiggins, Gordon Conyers, Raney Edwards, Morris Catlette, Mark Woodlief, Mike Smith.
