This procedure requires the re moval of thin stripe of bone along the seams of the skull. In normal infants these seams remain open for many years to provide growing space for the skull bones and in creasing capacity for the brain, which grows as much as 86 per cent in the first six months of fife. TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRES ENTS MAY COME — GREET ING: WHEREAS, It appears to my satisfaction, by duly authenticated record of the proceedings for the voluntary dissolution thereof by the unanimous consent of all the stockholders, deposited in my oi fice, that the Wilmington Homes Inc., a corporation of this State, whose principal office is situated at No.- Street, in the City of Wilmington, County of New Hanover, State of North Carolina (J. The growing brain then expands in other directions of least resis tance and may cause bulges at the weaker places in the skull, or pop eyes. It often causes blindness, and sometimes mental weakness Dr. Edward Faber, pediatrician at Stanford University Medical School, originally advocated tnis operation in 1923 and the first one of its kind was performed a yea< later by one of his associates, Di. Edward B. Towne. Strips of bone were removed on either side of the seam to leave an opening totalling four-fifths of an inch wide. The infant skull ex panded rapidly in the next few days. Navy Will Enlist Men Here Sunday In Answer To Pearl Harbor Drive "Answer to Pearl Harbor Day” will be observed here Sunday—ex actly six monihs from the minute Jap planes bombed Pearl Harbor —with a Navy recruiting drive similar to those in the other re cruiting stations throughout the nation. The American Legion, civic and other local officials will be requested to help with the program. But for this half-year anniversary of one of history’s most treacherous acts, recruits will be enlisted on the basis of sub-station physical and mental examinations. The Wilmington Navy recruit ing station expects to maintain its high record of enlistments on Sun day. Since Pearl Harbor a total of 306 men have enlisted here. It is an average of 51 per month or almost two a day. ---V NO JUNE SALES WASHINGTON, June 3.— (JP) — The Agriculture department an nounced today that no government owned cotton would be offered for sale during June under its generai cotton sale program. t-V GaGsoline loses 25 per cent less volume by eveparation in an alu minum tank than in a tank painted black.
