New Government Regulations t Affecting Users of Charge Accounts HAVE ALREADY BEEN PUT IN EFFECT! WHAT DO THESE CHARGE ACCOUNT REGULATIONS MEAN TO YOU, OUR CHARGE CUSTOMERS? ) FUNDAMENTALLY, CHARGE ACCOUNTS ARE THE SAME AS ALWAYS! The provisions of ihe new charge account regulations are practically the same as the present charge account policies of Wil mington's stores. You can still use your charge account and we want you to do so. The new regulations are fair and reasonable, but we feel that in all fairness to you and ourselves, we should ex plain the regulations that are now Law. ;♦ * It has always been the policy of the merchants of Wilmington whose names are signed below to receive payment on charge accounts dur ing the following month. There are some cases where our good cus tomers have chosen to make regular monthly payments on their ac count, rather than pay the entire bill in full each month. Under the new regulations, you may continue to do this. However, ihe regula tions are such that all past due balances must be taken care of by July 10th. Hence, if you have a balance on your account at this time, we suggest that you come in and we will show you how the regula tions work — how you can continue to pay your account by making regular monthly payments. Remeber, you can use your charge account as in the past! The reg ulations require that all accounts must be paid during the month fol lowing purchase, or by ihe 10th day of the 2nd month. In other words, if you charged an article to your account during the month of May, it may be paid for during June — or by July 10th.
