STOCKS ADVANCE TO RECORD HIGH NEW YORK, June 25.—(U.P.)— The stock market rose fractions to 2 points today to a new high for more than eight years as Wail Street investment bankers began preparations to offer in July securities totalling more than $1,. 000,000,000, the largest volume of offerings for any month since' 1920. Investment quarters in recent weeks have concentrated on mak ing Seventh War loan a cuccess and as the drive approaches its end plans have been made for quick resumption of regular in dustrial financing. Largest of the forthcoming offerings will be $175,000,000 in 2 3-4 per cent de ventures of American Telephone, and largest issue ever to be sold at competitive bidding. Experienced bankers anticpate in the coming months a boom in financing unseen in the Unif^d States since the “boom days” of the 1920's, largely because of the restrictive effects of the 7th War Loan, the ending of the war in Europe and the consequent be ginnings of industrial reconversion. Many of the financing plans are designed to effect reductios in debt and today Revere "Copper and Brass announced it would re tire on August 1 a block of $776, 000 of 1st mortgage 3 1-4 per cent sinking fund bonds: E. R. Squibb and Sons disclosed it will issue new $4 cumulative preferred for its outstanding serial preferred, and Champion Paper registered with the SEC a $13,000,000 issue of a 3 per cent debentures and 100.000 shares of cumulative pre ferred, the latter intended to re place an issue now held publicly. In the stock market rails, rail equipments, airline shares, air crafts, selected liquors and a num ber of textile issues led the ad vance. M-K-T preferred, up 2 1-2. paced the carriers whil' in the rail equipments American Car and Foundry rose 2 1-4 points. -V Bond Quotations DOMESTIC P and 0 4s 48 _99"& C and O 4'is 92 ..104^ CB and Q 4ti>s 77 .10434 Cl Ut 4'is 77 _10434 Hud C 5s 62a _ 85 Hud and Man 5s 57 _447o 111 Cent 4-Hs 56 .94 Int G N 6s 52 ..— 54 Mk and T AJ 5s 67 .106 Nor Pac S 2047 ...106 -V More Sugar In Sight For U.
