Every v persrm who is connected in any way with the.Orphans' Home and ' who is in any way responsible for the srpporb of the children in an 1 Orphans' Home' welcomes the Jnst Thursday in November. For many years it has been the cus- torn of the people of our country to moot on that day and render ; thanks unto Cod for the many blessings that He has bestowed til n them during-the year. C- .-. Of course if yon have special reasons for sending your contri butions to' aotne other Home it will ba alright for you to do this. They all need all the help they can get. But we believe that the Grandfather Home, named for fie graat Grandfather mountain, that with his bid wrinkled race lo6king up to heaven as if calling for the blessings of God upon the children who are playing around liia feet, has a peculiar claim up on. the people of this section. These children children come from the mountains. If they had been sent to the homes in othsr parta of the country the proba bility is that when they grow up they would never return to the mountains. Let us therefore care ' for the orphans of our section aid kiaep them in their native land as far as it is possible until they have reached the age w lie re they will be a blessing to a:iy part of the country where their lots are cast.
