MENT AND EXTENSION OF
THE WATER SUPPLY SYS
OF THE TOWN OF BOONE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board
oi Commissioners of the Town of
Boone u follow*:
section 1. The Board of Com
missioners of the Town of Boone
has ascertained and hereby deter
mine* that it i* necessary that
said Town enlarge and extend the
water supply system maintained
and operated by said Town to sup
ply water to said Town and Its In
habitants, and that it will be nec
essary to expend for said purpose
not less than |75,000.
Section t. Said Board of Com
missioners ha* also ascertained cad
hereby determines that the pur
pose hereinbefore described ? a
necessary expense of said Town
within the aseaning of Section 7 of
Article VII ofthe Constitution of
North Carolina, and is a purpooe
for which said Town may raise or
appropriate money, and (s not a
current expense of said Town.
Section J. In order to raise the
money required tor such purpose,
bonds of the Town of Boone ar*
hereby authorized and shall be la
wed pursuant to The Municipal
Finance Act, 1921, of North Caro
lina. The maximum aggregate
amount of bonds authorised by
this ordinance aln?ll be Seventy
five Thousand Dollars ($76,000).
Section 4. A tax sufficient t*
nay the principal of and interest
on said bonds shall be annually
levied and collected.
Section 5. A statement of the
4ebt of said Town has been filed
with the Town Clerk of said Town,
as required by said Act, and it
open to public taapectten.
Section 8. This ordinance shall
