Dey, is in the Great Neck Section of Princess Anne County. The land grant dates back to 1636, while that part of the State still was a part of Elizabeth City Shire. The original residence, part of which still stands, is reputed to have been built by Thomas Allen in 1640. It contains a large fireplace with warming closets in each end. Miss Mary Goodwin Honored At University Friends of Miss Mary Goodwin, • daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Goodwin, will be pleased to learn that she has been signally honored at the University of North Carolina at Cha-1 pel Hill, where she is a student.
