Colored Football Teams Play Intramural Game On Monday of this week the Eden ton colored high school sponsored an intramural game. The two teams consisted of boys from the sth through the 9th grades. The game climaxed a season late in beginning. The idea behind such a program is that of developing future material for the varsity teams of Edenton High School. Boys are taken when they are in their formative years of football and are taught blocking, tackling, running and learning plays. When these boys reach varsity grade and age they will be well drilled in fundamentals. Moreover, the pro gram tends to keep youngsters off the street in the evening. The score of the game was 12-6 in favor of the team captained by Wil liam Burke. Stars of the game were William Burke, George Cherry, Lee Satterfield, .Castle Spruill, Willie Blanchard and Julius Rountree. Coaches E. W. Scott and C. S. Newsome have found pleasure work ing with both squads. Sunbury Concern Will Observe Open House C. B.
