George T. Crawford will conduct a / the Chiropractic Clinic in the Joseph Hewes Hotel Building, together. Hr. and Mrs. Byba are natives of Indiana, where they were married 22 L years ago. The doctor completed his ' regular and preparatory education in Indianapolis and later graduated from Lincoln College of Chiropractic then. He has established office in Indianapolis and Wilson. The Bybas have spent many years traveling throughout the United States and look forward to a quiet, ■ happy life in Edenton. I Our County and Social Security | The following is a summary of the types of benefits paid under the Old- Age and Survivors Insurance pro vision of the Social Security Act: 1. The primary insurance benefit, payable to the retired worker at age 65 if he has worked long enough to be insured. The amounts of all other benefits are related to this primary insurance benefit. 2. The wife’s benefit, equal to one half of the primary insurance benefit and payable at age 65 to the wife of a retired worker. 3. The widow’s benefit, equal to three-fourth of the primary insurance benefits and payable at age 65 to the widow of an insured worker. 4. The child’s benefit, equal to one half of the primary insurance bene fit and payable to the child under 18 and unmarried to a retired worker or a deceased insured worker. 5. The widow’s current insurance benefit, equal to three-fourths of the primary insurance benefit and pay able to the widow under 65 of a de ceased insured worker if she has a child of the worker in her care. 6. The parent’s benefit, equal to one-half of the primary insurance benefit and payable to dependent parents of a deceased insured worker at age 65 if no other relatives eligible for monthly benefits survive the deceased wage earner. 7 The lump-sum death payment, equal to 6 times the primary insur ance benefit and payable upon the death of an insured worker if no monthly benefits are immediately payable. * If you think you are eligible for Social Security benefits, please write to the Social Security Administration, Norfolk, Va.
