PAGE TWO Meeting In Plymouth Saturday In Interest Os Historic Highway Object Is to Advertise Route Traversing 23 Counties In State Formation of an association to ad vertise U. S. 64 as History’s High way, connecting Manteo and Murphy under a continuous route number is the object of a meeting that has been called at Plymouth at 10:30 o’clock Saturday morning, Septem ber 10. R. Mayne Albright of Raleigh will preside at the meeting, which has been called at the instance of a num ber of public officials and business men of Washington, Martin and Tyrrell counties. The meeting will be followed by a Dutch treat luncheon in the famed Country Club dining room. Letters have been mailed to a number of of ficials of Nash, Edgecombe, Martin, Washington, Tyrrell and Dare coun ties —calling attention to the meeting, but others are urged to take part in the meeting, and arrangements may NOTICE! The church was decorated with fern and palms, making a back ground for baskets of white gladioli, asters and cathedral tapers burned in seven-branched candelabra. Mrs. Frank Elliott sang “I Love You Truly” and “Because,” accom panied by Miss Agnes Chappell, who ] also presented the wedding music. i The bride, who was given in mar- j riage by her father, wore a beige ] gabardine suit, brown accessories and ( an orchid corsage. ] Mrs. Lloyd Jackson, sister of the , bride, was matron of honor and wore ] a gold gabardine suit with black ac cessories and a corsage of American ] Beauty roses. William Dewey Perry attended his son as best man, and'the ushers were ] Earl White, brother of the bride, and j Arthur Spruill of Norfolk, Va., cou sin of the bridegroom. The bride’s mother wore a black ( floral crepe dress, black accessories and corsage of white carnations. The bridegroom’s mother wore a dress of teal blue crepe, navy acces sories and a corsage of white carna tions. Later the couple left for a northern m&tor trip.
