Ward, and wife, Ale'thia F. Ward, to J. IN. Pru den, Trustee, dated March 27, 1948 s, and recorded in IBook (No. 57 (DT), HjWges 388, etc., in the office of the TKegister of Deeds of Chowan County, North Carolina, default having been made in the payment of the indebted ness thereby secured, the undersigned, t'J. Pruden, Trustee, did on Tues day, the thirtieth (30th) day of Janu ary, 19511, at twelve o’clock noon, of fer for sale at ptiblic biddings to the highest bidder for cash at the Cho wan County Court House door in Eden ton, N. C., the real estate described in said Deed of Trust and hereinafter described, when and where there ap peared, among others, Carolyn J. White, who bid the sum of Twelve Thousand ($12,000) Dollars for said real estate, subject to 1951 taxes, said bid being the last and highest offer ed; and whereas the undersigned, J. N. Pruden, Trustee, did on the 31ts dajr of January, 1951, file a (written report of said sale in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Chowan County, N. C., and whereas on Febru ary 9, 1951, C. A. Perry paid into the hands of the Deputy Clerk of Superior ] Court of Chowan County, N. C., thej sum of $650.00, as an upset or increased bid for said real estate, the same being the amount re suired by Ibw, and whereupon on the same date said Deputy Clerk en tered an order requiring the under signed, J. N. Pruden, Trustee, to ad vertise said real estate for re-sale as required by law; now therefore, under and by virtue of.the power of sale con tainer in said Deed of Trust and said order of re-sale, the undersigned, J. N. Pruden, Trustee, will on Wednes day, the twenty-eighth (28th) day of February, 1951 at (twelve o’clock (12:00) noon, at the Chowan County Court House door in Edenton, N. C, offer for re-sale at public biddings to the highest bidder for cash, a certain tract of land lying and being in Cho wan County and State of North Caro lina, and more paricularly described as follows: That part of the Calvin Brinkley- Deans farm lying on the North side of the Virginia Road adjoining the land formerly belonging to John F. Fore hand, Dossey Ward, the Welch Mill Pond and others, containing 106 acres, more or less, described in a deed from Mary F. Deans, Commissioner, to J. M. Forehand, dated September 19, 1891, recorded in Book “>B”, page 569, and being the second tract conveyed to J. L. Forehand by J. M. Forehand and wife, by deed dated January 15, 1920, and registered in Book “O”, page 124, both in the Public Registry of Chowan County, to which deeds and those mentioned therein, reference is made for more particular descrip tion and chain of title. Being the same real estate conveyed to F. M. Ward by John F. White and wife, by deed duly recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of Chowan County, North Carolina.
