A—You now have until July 25,
1960, to apply for a GI loan. The
law allows up to a year after that
date to complete the deal.

urday afternoon, October 11, from
4 until 6 o’clock in the home of
Mrs. Horace Carter.
The Legion building was dec
orated with magnolia leaves, ivy
and lighted candles in silver hold
Mrs. Hayes Carter welcomed
the guests at the door. The re
ceiving line was composed of Mrs.
Hertel Hofler, Mrs. Carter, Miss
Donnie Ward and Mrs. W. T.
The serving table was laid with
a white linen cloth graced with
candles in silver candelabra. Mrs.
Maebelle P.' Winslow presided at
the punch bowl, assisted by Mrs.
Mrs. Edward Eure was in
charge of the guest registering
table which was covered with a
white cui,work cloth centered
with an arrangement of white
gladioli and carnations.

The guest of honor was pre
sented a corsage of white carna
tions and a gift of silver.
Mrs. Major Ward said the good
byes. About 85 guests called dur
ing the afternoon.
