What are the enter prises with employees cov ered under (he Fair Labor Standards Act prior to the 1966 amendments? A. Employees employed in any of the following en terprises which have em ployees engaged in com merce or in the produc tion of goods for com merce, including employees handling, selling or other wise working on goods that have been moved in or produced for commerce, ■were covered by the act prior to the 1966 amend ments and remain covered under the amended act. (1) Retail or service en terprises having an annual gross volume of sales of at least $1 million (exclusive of certain excise taxes) and $250,000 annual inflow of interstate goods. (2) Local transit enter prises having an annual gross volume of sales of at least $1 million (exclusive of certain excise taxes). j (3) Construction enter-I •prises doing a gross an-jj nual business of at least! $350,000. Q. Are family - operated establishments covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act? A.
