Q. I made application for a GI home loan before the new 6.75 per cent inter est rate went into effect. However, VA approval of the loan did not come through until after the higher rate became effec tive. Must I pay the higher rate or does the fact that my application was dated prior to May 7, 1968, entitle me to the previous 6 per cent rate of interest? A. To do the job right you could install a heating system, a cooling system, a ventilator, an air filter, and a dehumidifier. Or simply install an electric heat pump; It takes a heap of machinery to make a house really comfortable. Unless you have an electric heat pump. A heat pump does exactly the same things as heating, cooling, ventilating, humidifying and dehumidifying systems do. Except a heat pump takes up less room. And can be controlled with just one thermostat setting. By the way, a heat pump usually costs less than all those separate systems.
