Miss Leary Married To Mr. Domb The marriage of Miss Jo Ann Leary to William Ed win Domh took place Sat urday at 5 o’clock in a candlelight setting at the -Edenton Baptist Church. Rev. R. N. Carroll, pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert West Leary. The bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Eugene Oomb of Falls Creek, Pa. Wedding music was pro vided by Miss Shirley Renshaw of Columbia, Md., organist, and Clinton Thatch of Norfolk, Va„ vo calist. Purcell’s “Trumpet Voluntary” was used for the ' processional and Stan ley’s “Trumpet Voluntary” for the recessional. Vocal solos were Franck’s “Q Loving Father” and Flor Peeters’ “Wedding Song” and “Lord’s Prayer." The A-line skirt had a shaped Alencon lace border around the hemline. An illusion man tilla, scalloped all around and appliqued, completed the ensemble. The bride carried a cascade of pink sweetheart roses and step hanotis centered with phaL aenospsis orchids. Miss Lynn Zeigler of Ro chester, Minn., as maid of honor, wore a floor length gown of Fantastique fabric in Fiesta pink. The empire princess line was accented with petite bows in front and back, with a fully draped set-in panel on the back and carried a cascade of Better Times roses. The bridesmaids, dressed identically to Miss Zeigler, were Miss Nancy Davis of Kensington, Md., Miss Bar. bara Fetrow of Chillicothe, Ohio, Miss Ruth Peterka of Boston, Mass., Miss Peggy Schaffner of Falls Creek, Pa., Mrs. John Isenhower of Chapel Hill and Miss Jewell Small of Edenton, niece of the bride. Miss Mariam Elbualy of Miami, Fla., also niece of the bride, was flower girl. Brock Downward of Greenwich, Conn., was best man. Groomsmen were Robin Klar of Falls Creek, Pa., Anil Mody of Boston, Mass., David Mott of Washington, D. C., John Isenhower of Chapel Hill and Jake Boyce and Danny Long of Edenton. The mother of the bride wore a maize embroidered sheath of imported silk or ganza. She wore a white ostrich feathered chapeau with matching accessories and carried a corsage of green sympripedium or chids. The bridegroom’s mother chose a pale pink silk and lace ensemble with matching accessories and a corsage of white cymbidium orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Domb are graduates of Oberlin Col lege, O'berlin, Ohio. Mrs. Domb attended graduate school at Boston University and Mr. Domb, Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N. Y. A brunch was given Fri day morning by the bride groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Domb, at the Tea House Restaurant. The rehearsal dinner was given by Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Boyce, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Long, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Carey Hollowell and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Harrell, Sr., at Center Hill Community Building. An after rehearsal party was given by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Small and Dr. and Mrs. Musallam Elbualy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Small. On Saturday, prior to the wedding, a luncheon was given by Mr. and Mrs. J. Clarence Leary at their home on West Queen Street for the wedding party and out -of - town guests. Other parties included a luncheon at the Edenton Restaurant given by Mrs. Maurice Bunch, Mrs. Var ena Harrell, Mrs. Carlton Webb and Mrs. William Whichard. A coffee hour was given by Mrs. Nick George and Miss Suzanne George hon oring recent brides. Ward, Jr., Claims Bride In Hickory Rites HICKORY —The Episco pal Church of Ascension here was the scene at 4 P. M. Saturday for the wedding of Miss Helen Jean Tillman to Frank Jef ferson Ward, Jr. Miss Tillman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Tillman of Hick ory and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Ward, Sr., Route 1, Edenton. Mrs. Ward is a 1967 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Cha pel Hill and will be em ployed next month in the Sanford City School sys tem. Mr. Ward, also a gradu ate of UNC, received his degree in law in June. In Sanford he will be with the firm of Cameron, Harring ton and Love. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity and Delta Theta Phi legal fra ternity. Rev. Richard W. Turkel son heard the double ring vows. The bride, given in mar riage by her father, wore an ivory silk peau de soie A-line formal gown de signed with a highrise bo dice and scooped neckline extending to mid-shoulder in back and scalloped-lace trimmed short sleeves. Her headpiece was an iv ory forward cluster of re embroidered Alencon lace centered with pearls hold ing a tiered bouffant veil of imported silk illusion. Bridesmaids were: Miss Mary Lambeth Tillman of Wadesboro, the bride’s cou sin; Miss Heidi W. Grames bach of New York City; Miss Earle S. Ruffin of Virginia Beach, Va., and Miss Donna K. Bell of Hickory. Acolytes were George M. and Lee R. Brandon, both of Hickory. Frank J. Ward was his son’s best man. Grooms men were: James E. Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride entertained at a reception in the Parish House of the Episcopal Church. Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Ward, Sr., entertained members of the wedding party and out -of - town guests at a formal re hearsal dinner Friday evening. Places were set for 35 guests. At 12 noon Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Till man of Wadesboro, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Miss Mary Lambeth Till man of Wadesboro, cousin of the bride, honored the couple at a wedding break fast. Covers were laid for 40 guests.
