Mrs. Lizzie Miller re turned home last week af ter spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. Hallet Daniels of Ahoskie and Mrs. Lathia Hughes in Colerain. Mrs. C. W. Davenport and Mrs. Roy Baker spent Thursday in Williamston on business. Miss Sharon Allcox of Panama City, Fla., arrived Friday and is spending a week with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Sherwood Allcox. Lee Ray of Suffolk, Va„ visited Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Phelps Thursday af ternoon. Mrs. H. E. M Girl Scout New* By Nan Stutaman, Scribe On February 93 the Girl Scouts invited Brownies to a “Thinking Day’’ pro gram. What is a “Thinking Day” program? Girl Scout “Thinking Day" is when all the Girl Seeuts in the world stop and think of everyone being friends, each Girl Scout being a link in Girl Scouting, and try to keep their link strong and well. Mrs. Stutsman read about Girl Scout “Think ing Day.” After she fin ished the group went to get refreshments. When the girls were finished with refreshments, they were presented with a World Association pin. Then the Brownies joined the Girl Scouts to play some games.
