The symposium, a two
day study of the restored
palace and the 18th cen
tury decorative arts, got
underway last Tuesday.
According to Virginia
Horne, first vice chairman
of the Tryon commission,
the symposium is the first
of its kind under the joint
auspices of ECU’s Division
of Continuing Education
and the Tryon Restoration.

Boy Scout News
Edenton Boy Scout
Troop No. 156 had a two>-
night camping trip March
7-0.
The Scouts met at Rw
Scout Cabin Friday after
noon at 4 o’clock and left
for Camp Perry in Perl
quintans County.
The boys prepared their
camp site and dug in for
the cold night ahead.
On Saturday the day
was spent in physical ac
tivity, advancement and
instruction. That night
there was an initiation
held for the new Scouts.
The Scouts assembled
their gear Sunday morn
ing and left few home at
10 o’clock.
