m CHOWAN HERALD, EDENTON, NORTH CAROLINA BROAD STREET BULLETIN... By Kate I’ve got Cabin Fever And it's running mighty high, I’m fighting this delirium Pulling hard to break the tie Os being chained to a tide of woes When all I want to do is “GO”! ’' All I can think ot is that breaking a leg would be even worse—then I couldn’t move at all. This excess energy is joying to overtake me. Each morning Mr. Cardinal wakes me with his tune of cheer. The sun streams through my window and I’m glad that I can hear. There’s so many things that could be worse than idle recuperation. Like having no one who cares if you’re in this situa lltm. I’m very fortunate, indeed, to have my Hazel, who really cares and most of all, Buff, who is like the Rock of Gib raltar to me. 5* Watch out for our early Spring birds as they’re nest- ' ing now and building nests in ' unusual places. Tille Muth tells me a wren has made a nest on the top of their step ladder on the porch. Need less to say, that stepladder , will be out of commission . until the little song birds ’ arrive. If you have time this Thursday at noon contact the j v; • ——————————————— Honor Students Named At Chowan High School Principal Kenneth L. From previous experience, I know the salad, etc., is delicious. So just call 482-3269. They’ll deliver! We have two friends who : have recently got their boys 1 back from Korea and Viet nam. I really should say “men,” because they’re chang ed from boys to men in this terrifying time of war. May they know a little peace now and just rumors of war in stead of actual fighting. Buff took me for a little ride Sunday and I was sur prised to see the “new look” of Mitchener’s Pharmacy. It is quite attractive and Buff says it is very attractive in side, too. I can’t wait until I can go to see this innova tion for myself. Now I wish I had some new and different recipes. .Please, oh please, give me I your favorite ones. Thanks! KATE.
