This showed Edenton’s population had increased 273 in 10 years, the 1030 census giving the tonw a popula tion of 3,041. Following agitation and consideration of several Edenton,, North Carolina, Thursday, June 4, 1970 years’ standing, Chowan County Commissioners decid ed to place a new roof on the Court House. The estimated cost of the new roof was $1,533.00 and was to be a type identical with those on restored historical buildings at Williamsburg. Richard D. Dixon and E. W.
